The Department of Electronic Engineering at National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT) excelled at the 21st DSP Creative Design Competition on March 13, 2026. Competing against teams from Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and India, NCUT claimed First Place and two Honorable Mentions in the international division, as well as Third Place and multiple awards in the domestic competition.

The First Place project, “Music Tactalizer”, uses audio-to-haptic technology to transform music into tactile sensations, allowing people with hearing impairments to experience rhythm and emotion, demonstrating innovative technology with a human-centered approach.

NCUT stated that this achievement highlights students’ strengths in digital signal processing, intelligent electronics, and system integration, and reflects the university’s commitment to cultivating innovative and skilled technology talent.
